Ancient Acoustics starts a collaboration with the mapping specialists of PelserHartman. This collaboration covers the provision of the required equipment and the use of their specialized knowledge to process the measurement data. The equipment and data are essential to produce reliable 3D-models of the theatres. These models can subsequently be used in combination with the acoustical and meteorological measurement data to perform various simulation studies.
As a final preparation, members of our team were welcomed at PelserHartman’s office last Friday, where they followed a Total Station training. Because of this training, we are now able to map the three Greek theatres independently. The collected data will later be used to produce 3D-models.
We would like to thank PelserHartman for a good start of this great collaboration.
